Okay so I have to admit...I got so behind on my posts that the job became so daunting and rather unappealing that I just started to ignore it. Unfortunately for me these things just don't go away, so it was up to me to motivate myself to get it together and show you what we have been up to since out sugar overload. (which I know you guys are all sick of looking at.)
Anyway...on November 9th my little guy turned 2. I can hardly believe it has been that long. The other night I was going through our old photos and videos (which I will share once I have caught up with our current posts), and I cannot believe what a person he has become.
Since Max is crazy about dinosaurs, we decided that would make a perfect theme for our family get together. It was super simple and low key and definitely took the pressure off having it just be family. As cousins arrived we set up a station for "growing dinosaurs". (you know the kind that start as capsules them morph into little sponge dinosaurs.) FYI this activity was not as "instant" as I thought it would be :)

After that...we ate fossils and cheese (mac n' cheese), then the cake (which was actually homemade jello). Not to self...don't laugh while it's in your hand cuz it makes your candles flail violently, which makes for laughing harder (not a good situation, but funny).

After that we (the daddies) opened up fossils.

This is how they turned out...darling, huh? I definitely recommend this little project for a rainy day. I found these kits at the dollar store, each one had different dinosaur bones that had to be a assembled.

The rest of the night, we opened gifts. Uncle Sean helped Max get through the impossible packaging. (I think it is funny that the toys are perfectly secure in the box, but once opened your home is chock full of choking hazards for the little ones.)

Max got to show off what he got to Papa.

We got our token cousin picture.

Here is a random picture with Uncle Cooper (Tooper) in between festivities. (I told Max to smile for the camera and he couldn't take his eyes off of Cooper...so cute.)

A few days later...Nate dropped off a little buddy.
